The girl, whose name had not been released, was involved in a dispute with four others after the football game, Egg Harbor Township police said.
The officers were hurt when police tried to break up the fight between teenagers and young adults on Thursday night, Seot. 14, they said. None of those involved in the fight were students from either school playing in the game.
Egg Harbor Township Police Officer Robert Moran was treated by medical personnel on scene and later at the hospital for injuries from the assault, a police spokesman said.
Details on the school security officer's injuries were not released.
None of the people involved in the fight are students from either school district in the football game — Absegami High School in Galloway and Egg Harbor Township, police said. Absegami won the game.
The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer and assault on school security personnel, with additional charges forthcoming, police said. She was released to her parent/guardian.
